MADE IN BLACK FOREST
Innovative workpiece clamping - a family-run company in its third generation
„The Black Forest inventors have always contributed greatly to the techological progress in many sectors throughout the world. We are proud to have joined forces with so many innovative, medium-sized companies who are experts in their own field. This high degree of specialisation is likewise a guarantee for overcoming technical challenges, ensuring sustainable management and providing a safeguard for the future.“

Strictly speaking, it wasn't the inhabitants of the Black Forest who discovered the cuckuck clock.
According to the legend, at the beginning of the 17th century, Black Forest glass carriers brought a wall clock back as a souvenir from one of their tours in Bohemia or the Rhineland and thus laid the foundation for a branch of industry that today characterises the south west of Germany - precision engineering.
There is barely another symbol that stands for quality, craftsmanship and precision than the Black Forest cuckuck clock. STERMAN redefines these very same values in new materials and in a new context.
We develop and produce in harmony with nature - this is our firm conviction.
Our production site "Am Tannwald 10" is located in a conservation and water protection area so that our sustainable production has to meet stringent requirements. On sunny days, we generate over 50% of our required energy ourselves. We collect rainwater in a tank for flushing the waste water in our building.
We use neither environmentally unfriendly lubricants nor cleaning extracts, we recycle our packaging material and offer customers the opportunity to return same.
Our goal is production according to the „Cradle to Cradle" principle – in other words fully in line with our environment.
Because environmental protection begins in the development and production process long before the use of industrial or consumer goods.
It is obvious that our products are only as good as our team – and only as a team can we reach the accuracy range < 0.01mm.
Black Forest perfectionism which may be regarded by some as pure persistance is reflected in many areas throughout the company.
„Made in the Black Forest“ – not only refers to our clamping systems, devices and machines but also to our people.
