Now in its third generation, STERMAN develops high-precision, efficient, and intelligent solutions for demanding industrial manufacturing tasks. Our systems are used in applications where standard solutions reach their limits—either because the required levels of precision cannot be achieved or because specific workpiece geometries and machining processes call for customized solutions.
As a family-owned technology company in the Black Forest, we consistently develop our solutions based on the workpiece and the specific manufacturing task—down to the micrometer level. In this context, “customized” does not mean starting from scratch every time. Our established portfolio of proven technologies and modular system components combines customer-specific engineering with cost-effective solutions.
We invest more than 10 percent of our revenue in research and development; 21 patents and intellectual property rights underscore our commitment to technology. Design, development, and manufacturing take place at our facility in St. Georgen in the Black Forest. Our team of innovators, developers, and technical experts, a vertical integration rate of over 85 percent, and processes compliant with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 stand for technical excellence, sustainable business practices, and long-term security for the future.
